Davanna Booker aka “Diva Davanna” started this hard journey of multiple achievements, we have finally decided to ask her some questions that even though they’re simple, they are certainly important. At what age did you started modeling?
Born in Jersey City, N.J. November 30th 1999, this 10-year-old Diva started her modeling career at the young age of 4 years old, taught by her best friend (Timotheus J. Smart) who is her runway trainer /makeup/wardrobe/hair stylist you name. He has done it all for Ms Davanna. Modeling is just a few of the things I like to do, some of the biggest things I love to do is, enjoy playing with my twin sister Dejohnna & older sister Ashley, attending school, church, girlscouts.
Davanna has already achieved the title of fashion's youngest "Super Model on the rise". Known primarily for her signature walk, elaborate outfits & flawless looks, Davanna gained most of her fame and was discovered via the popular web site YOUTUBE(video’s provided by: pmvvideo.com) by reaching million’s of hits from fans around the world.
How would you describe your life as a model?
Being a model at my age is fun and also lots of work! During busy weeks I have to attend a practice three times a week for different fashion shows, sometimes there are long & late nights.
On how many fashion show runways have you participated ?
Since the age of 4 years old, I have added hundreds of fashion show appearances under my belt, I have been booked for some of the most fabulous fashion shows ever produced in New York, L.A, Baltimore, Chicago, DC, PA, CT…etc. I have walked for some of the hottest designers: Alberto Sanchez, Donna Byrd(Don-Don Collections), Raun Larose collection, Tyrone Chablis, Vissions By Ve'Moore, Armon Collections, Joan Vaccianna, Alroshy, Kantankerous Couture, Futu Fashions, Divine Royalty, Butch Diva Collections, Laura Williams Collections, Morgan Elizabeth Bridal designs, Carmen Veal collections, Lady Kelly designs, I’m mostly known for my own designs that I wear created by Timotheus J. Smart
We also know that you have met great world-wide celebrities. Can you tell us about that?
Through my journey of modeling I have met some of the coolest celebrities: Tyra Banks, Ms Jay Alexander, Russell & Kimora Lee Simmons, their daughters: Ming & Aoki Lee, Angela & Vanessa Simmons, Julito Mc Cullum (The Wire), Janet Hubert Whitten (Fresh Prince of Bel-Air), America's Next Top Models: Bri, Jade,& Isis, dance choreographer Benny Ninja, International Super Model Stacy Mckenzie, Dance Choreographer: Tweety, Miss Universe, just to name a few !!
Who do you admire or wish to meet?
I admire Tyra Banks for all the things she has done from just being a model to her talk show to her Americas Next Top Model show, after being on the Tyra Banks show she let me know I could not only be a Top model but I could be other things to. I also admire my mom for being a good mom, a single mom, and she has sacrificed a lot to get me to the next levels.
I would love to meet Naomi Campbell, & singer/actress/entertainer : Beyonce
Davanna has gotten noticed by the likes of Supermodel Mogul Tyra Banks which lead to an appearance on the Tyra Banks show on an episode called (Cyber Celebrity kids), which also lead Davanna to a surprise guest appearance on the popular Americas Next Top Model cycle 13 to give the contestants some runway lessons with Miss J. Alexander/runway coach & extraordinaire.
Davanna was also a feature story on UPN 9 News Network 2009 as the youngest super model on the rise. Along with Davanna's tremendous runway success, she has also been featured on some of the hottest blog web sites such as “SandraRose.com, MediaTakeOut.com, Insider.com, AfterEllen.com, Bossip.com” just to name a few.
